Privacy & Cookies

A calm tool should be calm about your data, too. Here is the plain version.

What you type

The feelings and context you enter are sent to our AI provider to generate a reflection, and briefly cached to keep the service fast and affordable. We do not ask for your name, and we do not build a profile of you.

Reflections you share

When you create a share link, the reflection text is stored so the link can display it, and it automatically expires after about 90 days. Shared pages are not indexed by search engines.

Rate limiting

To keep usage fair, we count requests using a short-lived, approximate identifier derived from your network connection. It is used only to apply daily limits, not to track you across the web.

Cookies & ads

Stillwaters itself does not require tracking cookies to work. When advertising is enabled, we plan to use Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure ads. You can review and control this at Google My Ad Center.

Before any personalized advertising runs for visitors in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, we will present a consent banner (a Google-certified consent management platform) and will not set non-essential or advertising cookies unless you agree. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Because we do not ask for your name or build a profile, we hold very little that identifies you. Where data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) apply, you still have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local regulator.

We do not sell personal information. To make any request, email us at the address below and we will respond within the timeframe your local law requires.
